Una ruta turística recreará los viajes de Hemingway

El Gobierno vasco busca aumentar la estancia del visitante con un
recorrido de seis etapas que incluye paradas en Bermeo y Bilbao

Euskadi de una manera tranquila y siguiendo los pasos de Ernest Hemingway. Ese es el gancho
de la última propuesta turística que ha lanzado el Gobierno vasco,
que pretende aumentar la estancia media del visitante con una ruta que recrea
los viajes del escritor y periodista norteamericano por tierras vascas.
El que fuera premio Pulitzer y Nobel de Literatura recorrió en los años veinte del siglo pasado algunos de los parajes más bellos del País Vasco y, como recuerda el departamento de Turismo, «se enamoró de ellos para toda la vida». Ahora, la propuesta 'The Hemingway Basque Route' pretende contagiar esa pasión al visitante con seis etapas de menos de dos horas de duración que recrean sus viajes, paso a paso, con fotografías y sus sensaciones.
La ruta arranca en
San Sebastián y 35 kilómetros después hace su primera parada en Txingudi. La segunda etapa,
de 76 kilómetros, comienza en la capital guipuzcoana para alcanzar Eibar, desde
donde arranca la tercera en dirección a Bermeo. El visitante podrá
recorrer después los 59 kilómetros que separan el municipio pesquero de
Bilbao.
La quinta etapa
conecta dos capitales, la vizcaína y la alavesa. «Un camino de 110
kilómetros que tantas veces recorrió Hemingway y que sigue casi intacto»,
apuntan desde el Ejecutivo autonómico. La propuesta finaliza con un
viaje desde Vitoria hasta San Sebastián por la antigua N-1, la más
frecuentada por el escritor, que se rindió a los encantos de la cultura y la
gastronomía vascas. «118 kilómetros desde el paraíso del vino hasta el cielo de
la sidra».
